I obtained a bacherlor of Biomedical laboratory technology (2010) after which I started working as a lab technician in the clinical laboratory of a hospital. Due to the fascination for the human body and diseases, I decided 2.5 years later to start a master in Biochemistry and Biotechnology. My interest in the molecular basis of human disease kept on growing, which motivated me to start a PhD research project (2016) to help unraveling the complexity of cancer and search for solutions.
