Welcome Anneleen!

Anneleen joined OncoRNALab as a doctoral fellow after completing a Master of Science in Drug Development in 2025 and a bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences in 2023, both at Ghent University. During her master’s studies, she completed her master’s thesis at the University of Helsinki as part of an Erasmus exchange programme.

For her doctoral research, Anneleen focuses on RNA-based biomarkers in urine for the diagnosis and monitoring of bladder cancer. Her work aims to identify minimally invasive biomarkers that could help reduce the need for cystoscopies and provide patients with a more convenient alternative for disease monitoring.
