Welcome Jiao!

We welcome Jiao Zhang to the OncoRNALab team!

Jiao joined OncoRNALab as a doctoral fellow in July 2026. She completed her bachelor’s degree in pharmacy at Harbin Medical University in 2018. She then completed a joint master’s training programme between the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Technical University of Denmark, earning degrees in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and in Life Science Engineering and Informatics in 2021. Before joining OncoRNALab, she worked in the biotechnology industry in Beijing, focusing on multi-omics biomarker discovery and in vitro diagnostic product development. This experience strengthened her interest in connecting fundamental research with clinical applications.

For her doctoral research, Jiao is working on the HemoPrint project, which uses self-collected capillary blood microsamples for longitudinal transcriptome profiling. She combines molecular biology and bioinformatics to study how blood transcriptome profiles change over time and how these changes relate to health, immune status, and different interventions.
