Welcome Laura!

Laura joined OncoRNALab as an ERASMUS+ student after successfully completing her thesis at NOVA Medical School Research in Lisbon (Portugal) and thereby earning a Master’s Degree in Clinical Laboratory Genetics from the University of Coimbra.

She is now working alongside PhD fellow Thijs Van der Snickt on the interuniversity ‘SoCan’ project, which aims to develop a photoelectrochemical assay for the rapid detection of nucleic acid cancer biomarkers.
